Mulch Installation in Liberty, MO
Fresh mulch is the quickest way to make planting beds look finished, and it does real work for the plants underneath. Atlas Landscape installs mulch for homeowners in Liberty and the Kansas City area, with the beds cleaned and edged first so the result lasts.
We use natural, undyed mulch such as shredded hardwood. We do not recommend dyed black mulch, which can stain concrete and pavers and is often made from low-quality wood. Our spring mulch article explains why.
Spring and fall mulch jobs also take us into Kansas City.
Mulch That Protects Your Beds
A proper mulch layer holds moisture in the soil, slows weeds, and protects roots from summer heat and winter cold. As natural mulch breaks down, it adds organic matter back to the soil.
How the mulch goes down matters as much as the mulch itself. We clear weeds and debris, cut a clean bed edge, and spread an even layer that stays off plant stems and tree trunks. Mulch installation pairs well with plant selection and installation or new flower beds and shrubs.
What's Included in a Mulch Install
- Weeding and Bed Cleanup
- Clean Bed Edges
- Natural, Undyed Hardwood Mulch
- Even Depth Kept Off Stems and Trunks
- Spring or Fall Bed Refresh
Match the Mulch to the Beds
Not every bed needs the same thing. Vegetable and pollinator beds may do better with a compost blend, and shaded beds under trees often need less depth than a sunny bed along the house. We look at what is planted before recommending a material and depth.
The finished beds should look sharp, hold moisture, and stay easy to maintain through the season.
